Holy Trinity Church Public Display

We have included here but a few image grabs from our video and digital cameras to give our visitors an idea of the public display on the Doom Painting at the back of the church and situated in the Archdeacon's Court.  These give a flavour of the display and also show photos of the actual work uncovered so far.

We are particularly interested in the devil situated below the jaws of hell on the bottom right hand side (looking on)  which was only discovered after the official cleaning and restoration began.  Previously it was presumed that there was nothing more to see below the jaws of hell by virtue of fabric deterioration or plan.

When viewing the general view photograph below note the jaws of hell are complete with fangs - most terrifying!  Note the alewives are clearly seen here as they are being dragged down to hell.
